I stopped at The Suds before it closed for the season for a Suds double burger. Although it could've used a bit more secret sauce and seasoning, the sandwich was a good size with juicy beef and a lightly toasted bun. A malt made with cookies n' cream ice cream was ordered next, which was a sweet delight. Service was prompt and kindly. While working on my malt, a couple boys riding bikes came for quick bite. The gentleman working also gave the boys a couple bottled Sprites a moment later, which was really cool. More people started coming by while I finished, and a lot of upbeat energy was seen coming from both customer and worker ends. A handful of 50s style items decorate the exterior. Album covers in bulletin display cases, a juke box and at least one vintage Coke vending machine can be seen near the order window. Drive-in menu displays and speakers are also found, although I think the speaker system is inoperable, unfortunately. Unless dining in a car, the seating is all outdoors, and there is plenty for a good sized crowd. It seems that the place is a hot spot for car enthusiasts as well, on Saturday evenings if I'm not mistaken. A neat, retro burger joint in downtown Greenwood!
Super cool vintage rootbeer stand! "The Suds" some great all American food, a band, bikers & booths set up with lots of handmade/homemade goodies! We enjoyed it very much & will definitely visit again! Bought our pups some cute handmade bandanas & had some yummy coney dogs & rootbeer floats
Me and my friend went here once. I didn't even know it existed until we came across it while exploring downtown Greenwood. The prices here are pretty good and I've always enjoyed eating outside. The stylish old-fashioned cars that pass through are pretty cool to look at. My friend and I are younger people with a liking for old-fashioned culture. I definitely recommend this place. It's pretty great!
Never been to an actual car-hop before. Our waitress was super nice and thorough. Chili sauce was fantastic! Shake was pretty good, too. My husband loved his fried mushrooms. Very quick service!
Show cars and motorcycles on most Fridays and Saturdays. Great event to wall around and look at car stuff. Line for food is usually long and food could run out before close. Got in line this time an hour before close, grill was closed. Got a rootbeer float. Was OK.
Really nice old school drive in Hamburger stand, with really good shakes.
